Younger and Older Children – Set of 3 Magnetic Bookmarks and House-Shaped Holder

Materials needed:
• Memory verses from this lesson AND all 5 previous lessons printed onto sheets of mailing labels (we used Avery 5160). Note that each child should receive each of the 7 Memory Verses for this conference
• Assorted 8.5”x11” cardstock, one per child
• Assorted colorful cardstock in smaller sizes, cut into 1.25” x 6” strips
• House Template – *Click here to Print Template*
• Small round magnets (Michaels or Hobby Lobby)
• Double-sided tape
• Paper cutter or scissors and a ruler
• Crayons or Markers
• Pencil
• Sharpie

Instructions:
• Ask each child to choose a piece of 8.5”x11” cardstock. Trace the House Template onto 8.5”x11” cardstock and cut it out.
• Fold cardstock along dotted lines. This is the House-shaped bookmark holder.
• Secure the sides of the house with double sided tape, allowing enough room for the bookmarks to fit in the pocket.
• Hand out the set of 7 Memory Verses to each child.
• Stick the Memory Verse for this lesson onto a piece of cardstock, trim the cardstock to a thin border, and stick it to the house with double sided tape.
• Select three strips of colored cardstock and fold each strip in half. The result should be 3 folded strips of cardstock measuring approximately 1.25”x3”. These are your 3 bookmarks.
• Stick a Memory Verse onto each side of the folded cardstock. Do this for each of the three strips. Each child should have 3 bookmarks with a Memory Verse on each side.
• Give each child 6 magnets. This part is tricky. Magnetically stick two magnets together and keep them paired throughout this process. Grab one of the bookmarks and unfold it. Put double-sided tape onto one of the magnets in your pair of magnets. Stick the pair of magnets to the inside of one bookmark. Keep those two magnets together. Don’t let go! Put double-sided tape onto the other magnet and with both magnets still together, fold the bookmark onto the double-sided tape. Do the same thing to the remaining 4 magnets and 2 bookmarks.
• Clip the 3 magnetic bookmarks into the pocket of the house.
