Notes to Serving Ones Regarding Talking Points:

  1. Talking points progress from simple to more complex. To afford the maximum enjoyment, they are to be shared with the children in a story like manner, not merely read aloud.
  2. Talking points should be shared one or two points at a time. Then sing a song or two! Then share a little bit more! Then sing a little more! Remember, children do not have the capacity for a long sharing.
  3. Remember singing will impart more than our sharing!

Talking Points:

Younger Children:

  1. God made us in a wonderful way.
  2. God made man like Himself.
  3. God gave us many parts that work well and work together. 
  4. God made our bones hard so that we would be strong.  He made our skin soft so that we would be comfortable.
  5. God knew exactly how to make us so that we could live and play.

Older Children:

  1. God made us in a wonderful way.
  2. Before God made man, He had a conference and made a plan. He decided to make man like Himself.
  3. We are made in an orderly way. Everything about us was designed to work well.
  4. Every part of our physical body has a function and the design makes the function possible.
  5. All the parts function together and work simultaneously. For example, your stomach can digest food while your lungs breathe.
  6. Amazingly, though every man has recognizable parts such as hands and feet, each person is unique.
  7. God’s creation of man shows that He is wise and loving. He knows how to make everything function well and in harmony.
