  • Medium weight BLUE 8 ½”x11” cardstock
  • Medium weight GREEN 8 ½”x11” cardstock
  • Earth template pre-printed CLICK HERE onto sheets of printer paper*

  • Scissors, 1 pair shared between 2 children (LSM will provide some, but if possible, bring more)
  • Hole punch

Instructions:

  • Give each child a Memory Verse label and the 1 ½”x3” cardstock. Stick the Memory Verse onto the cardstock rectangle. Set it aside.
  • Making the Seas: Give each child a sheet of blue cardstock and 1 Earth template. Have them cut out the circumference of the Earth on the white paper. Trace the circle onto the blue cardstock and cut it out. This is the base of the Earth and represents the seas.
  • Hand each child 2 magnets and have them stick the magnets on the back of their blue circle. Write their name next to the magnets. This is how it will hang.
  • Making the Land: Give each child a sheet of green cardstock. Have them cut out the land masses on their white paper. Trace those pieces onto their green cardstock and cut them out. Please help the children identify land vs. sea on the template. Hand out foam adhesives and help the children peel and
stick their pieces of land onto their seas. Please refer to the photo above for accurate placement.
  • Adding more dimension: Children can add an extra layer or two to their land to indicate terrain. Using their land template pieces, they can cut slightly smaller pieces of green cardstock and mount these onto the original land pieces using the foam adhesives.
  • Making clouds: Give each child 2 cotton balls and have them slightly pull the cotton balls apart to make wispy clouds over the Earth. Secure with a couple of foam adhesives.
  • Affix the Memory Verse cardstock onto the bottom of the Earth as shown in the photo above.
