We have provided templates labeled \u201cSmall Sheep\u201d for the snack-sized plates and \u201cLarge Sheep\u201d for the luncheon-sized plates. The process is similar, but make sure you have enough cotton balls.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/conference.lsm.org\/services\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/photo4-1.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-12157 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/conference.lsm.org\/services\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/photo4-1-283x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"283\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/conference.lsm.org\/services\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/photo4-1-283x300.jpg 283w, https:\/\/conference.lsm.org\/services\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/photo4-1-768x813.jpg 768w, https:\/\/conference.lsm.org\/services\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/photo4-1-967x1024.jpg 967w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 283px) 100vw, 283px\" \/><\/a><\/p><p><strong><u>Instructions:<\/u><\/strong><strong><u><br \/><\/u><\/strong>\u2022 Give each child a paper plate and pencil.<br \/>\u2022 Write their names on the front of the plate (side you would normally put food on).<br \/>\u2022 Give each child approximately 30 cotton balls. Slightly pull cotton balls apart to give a fluffier look.<br \/>\u2022 Lightly squeeze glue onto the back of the plate, spreading until a thin layer of glue evenly covers the plate. Using a sponge craft brush may be easier for spreading the glue, and you can just throw the brush away afterwards.<br \/>\u2022 Place cotton balls onto the back of the plate, completely covering the plate with cotton balls. Lightly press down to make sure the cotton balls stick to the plate.<br \/>\u2022 Set the plate aside to dry.<br \/>\u2022 Trace the sheep\u2019s head and legs onto black paper. Cut out the pieces.<br \/>\u2022 Glue the googly eyes onto the face of the sheep.<br \/>\u2022 Glue the head onto the sheep. Glue the legs onto the other side of the plate (the side without cotton balls).<br \/>\u2022 Give each child a memory verse label and a rectangular piece of cardstock.<br \/>\u2022 Stick the Memory Verse onto a piece of cardstock. Punch a hole into the paper plate and another hole into the cardstock tag. Set these aside.<br \/>\u2022 Give each child four clothespins and a cup.<br \/>\u2022 Using a black marker, color the rounded part of the clothespin for the sheep\u2019s feet.<br \/>\u2022 Turn the cup upside down onto the clothespins, slipping the rim of the cup over the divided part of each clothespin. Place two clothespins closer together to form the front legs of the sheep. Do the same to form the hind legs of the sheep. Secure the clothespins with tape on the inside of the cup.<br \/>\u2022 Pour glue onto paper plate; have two children share a plate of glue and a sponge brush.<br \/>\u2022 Turn the cup upside-down and slip a fist inside the cup. Holding it like this, while brushing a light coating of glue onto the outside of the cup, will keep your hands clean.<br \/>\u2022 Gently press cotton balls onto the outside of the cup, including the bottom of the cup (which would be the top of the sheep). Completely cover the cup with cotton balls.<br \/>\u2022 Punch a hole on either side of the Memory Verse card and make a little hanger using a piece of yarn or string.
